Author Biography

Richard Nunes-Vaz, Torrens Resilience Institute, Flinders University

Rick Nunes-Vaz retired from the Defence Science and Technology (DST) Group in 2016 after a decade leading DST’s support to Defence and several of Australia’s national security agencies in strategic risk analysis. He now spends time as an adjunct Professor with the Torrens Resilience Institute of Flinders University researching the development of resilience in complex socio-technical systems that have the potential for cascading failure.
